What in the World is a Q&U?
This is the very first Q&U episode, so let me explain how it works. Every week I will present a new question of the week relating to rescue or pets and then I’ll read your answers out loud on the show! Doesn’t that sound fun?! I assure you, it has been =)
As of right now I’m posting these questions on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram… but eventually I might settle on using just one of these networks to collect your answers. What do you think?
The Q: What was the catalyst that convinced you to change your eating habits?
I have even more vegan and vegetarian friends than I ever even knew about! As I met more and more animal advocates, even though many of them prefer to work with dogs and cats, I started to notice a common thread. Animal cruelty memes that showed cows, pigs, and chickens showed up in my social media feeds, and so did vegan recipes, wearing the “cruelty-free” hashtag. I started to realize that I was a complete hypocrite… or maybe I already knew I was, but it really started to settle into my being and nag at me.
I decided that I was going to have to walk the walk and not just talk the talk. So far I’ve given up meat for almost a month now! (when the show was recorded it was only 2 weeks)
