0017_rob_kruegerI actually met today’s guest completely outside of the rescue world, I was listening to a few of my favorite photographers get interviewed on a podcast called Take and Talk Pics, when I decided I would contact the host, Rob Krueger, and take my best shot at getting on his show. Once I got to chatting with Rob, I discovered that he and his girlfriend, Jeanette, had just adopted a puppy!

You might remember, at the end of the 1st season, I said that I wanted to focus in on some of the not-so-tragic stories about rescue. I don’t know why it is that the horror stories are the ones that stick in our heads, but not all rescue pets come with such heavy baggage. In fact, I’d put my money on the truly tragic rescue stories being the minority. I admit, there’s a sad element to each of these stories, if only because each pet is always homeless in the beginning, but that’s why I’m doing this… to show you a close up of each happily-ever-after story, so that maybe you might want to write your own fairy tale one day.

Piper’s real life rescue could have been the first few pages of a story book… but let’s go back further than that…  let’s go back to Rob’s first memories of being involved in rescue as a child…
